Tony Center

Tony Center has been practicing law since 1975. His specialty is suing other lawyers.

He has also served as general counsel to a national telecommunications company. In his practice Tony has written federal law, lobbied before many state public service commissions, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and both houses of the US Congress. He co-founded a national consumer protection organization to protect telecom consumers.

Tony served as a County Commissioner in his hometown Savannah, GA and ran for US Congress. He chaired his local Democratic Party county committee and re-wrote the Charter and Bylaws of the Democratic Party of Georgia.

Tony won an academic scholarship to the University of Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. After a year in commercial construction, Tony returned to school and earned his law degree from the University of Georgia. From 1999 – 2000 Tony took a year off to live and study in Paris, France.

Tony is married to April Martin and has two grown children and one grandson. His daughter (my best friend) Kristy is a psychologist here in Denver but after some cyber sleuthing I also found that he’s known as “Best Liberal” on a list of Best of Savannah in 2013!
