Moonshots 2024

← Pro Tip: Save the date here by clicking Google Calendar or ICS.

Who: Entrepreneurs, Small Business Owners, Founders, Consultants, etc.

What: Supportive group facilitated conversation with meaningful connections

Where: Bruz Off Fax (1495 York St  #101 Denver, Colorado 80206)

When: Monday, May 13th at 5pm - 7pm

Why: Because it can feel really lonely out there shooting for the moon!

With a resurgence of return to office policies, we had feedback from folks said they wanted to attend but had conflicts with all-hands meetings when this was at 10am..

As many of you know, I also decided to take a break from hosting but want to keep the momentum of this community. Reach out if you’d like to facilitate, present, or sponsor a round of coffees this month!

Many thanks! - Ashley Dodge, Denver Moonshots Organizer

This Month’s Guest Host/Facilitator: Andrew Ettenhofer

Andrew Ettenhofer founded Sales Toolbox in 2015. He got his "informal" sales training through years of sales leadership roles at various event and media companies. He received his “formal” sales training at the Wright Foundation, where he now currently teaches and coaches. Most recently, Andrew graduated from Coach U’s Professional Coach Training Program, and is now working on his International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification. He offers an hour of free coaching and two free meetups on the 2nd Monday of the month @ 2pm PT and the 2nd Wednesday of the month @ 8am PT.

Moonshots Format:

  1. Quick Introductions: For the first half hour we introduce ourselves, say what we do.

  2. Support: Share a challenge or issue we are grappling with that could benefit from insights, recommendations, or relevant introductions/referrals. This is a great time to share your elevator pitch if you have one.

  3. Promotion: Share any upcoming events you may be hosting or attending. If you have a new podcast, course, service, or other offering feel free to share as long as it’s not an MLM.

  4. Connection: Make one new 1:1 connection with someone. Share your email, phone number, or LinkedIn. This group is meant to be a supportive community rather than just another networking group.

Housekeeping:

We are all adults here so this goes without saying but…

While this is a casual group, the main mission is to support and uplift others. There have been moments of vulnerable shares because of the trust that has been built. If someone offers to make an introduction for you, please be sure to follow up or politely decline the offer.

Please be courteous to all servers at all locations. Your patience is greatly appreciated as they go around and check everyone’s needs. It is not easy to look after a large party. Be sure to pay your tab before you leave and generously tip when you can. If you need help getting a server’s attention, just discretely ask the Moonshots facilitator without disrupting the group conversation or walk up to the bar.
