LinkedIn LIVE Interview with Jenn Uhen
My next guest for Nota Bene is founder of The Pledgettes Jenn Uhen, CFEI®.
As a mentor and advocate, Jenn heard many women talking about investing someday with a breath of ambivalence as if that money goal were out of reach.
But she also knew plenty of women who spoke about their financial goals with confidence and clarity. She realized the “right-time, right-place conversations” that had shaped her own financial journey could benefit countless others.
So with a passion for community, connection, and financial literacy, Jenn founded The Pledgettes to democratize access to this wealth of knowledge and create a supportive space for women to strengthen their relationship with money. Today, with a full calendar of events and programs, no woman in The Pledgettes has to navigate her financial goals alone.
Jenn is a Certified Financial Education Instructor and also works with clients 1:1 to take charge of their journey. “I have really come to see that my zone of genius is in making people's goals happen. From bands to brands. But the biggest joy is hearing people say that our work together on their financial journey has been LIFE CHANGING.”
Where does she get her inspiration? From RBG to Maggie Lena Walker (who founded the first woman-owned bank), Jenn’s muses are women that have advanced gender equality in ways that align with their skills and values. She also credits her parents for instilling financial decision-making skills early on—"Huge shout-out to my parents!"
While most assume financial success is about picking hot stocks or making the perfect investment, Jenn focuses on helping people understand their relationship with money and build financial behaviors that lead to aligned money moves. For her, that means saying no to things that don’t drive revenue.
Like most founders, Jenn is wildly busy but still prioritizes spending quality time with friends and expanding her network. If you are a small business owner, community leader, or mid-level professional ready to get serious about your money journey… you should connect with Jenn!
Jenn and I initially bonded ages ago over a shared love of dogs, travel, and minimalism so the conversation may take some detours. We’ll talk about the interconnected fiscal and behavioral sides of money, The Pledgettes Accountability League, and so much more.
